Born in Winnipeg, Monika started to paint at an early age. Essentially self-taught, she paints the landscape she loves in watercolour, working from her rural studio in Manitoba. Her subject matter can capture the rugged beauty of Manitoba, or the beauty of the Canadian landcape. At times that beauty can be found in the smallest of flowers located in a backyard. This work is what has been reproduced into art cards.
